At the parish of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos in Singapore, “Orthodox Conversations” about the faith and the Church are held
Last Sunday, June 19, at the parish of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos in Singapore, the first session of “Orthodox Conversations” with parishioners about the faith and the Church led by the priest Dimitry Lavrentiev was held.
This round of the sessions is designed for a year and is intended to provide a holistic picture of the Orthodox Christian teaching in a historical perspective. The topics cover the overview of the books of the Old and New Testaments, the history of the Church, and the Orthodox worship. Each session includes not only sharing information on the given topic, but also allows the believers to ask the priest any questions about faith and the Church.
“Orthodox Conversations” will be held every Sunday after the Liturgy and the trapeza. This Sunday the second session took place, and its topic was “Old Testament Canon”.
