Student of the Moscow Theological Academy, Hierodeacon Methodius (Sugiarto) Received Priesthood
On September 21, on the feast of the Nativity of Our Most Holy Lady Theotokos and Ever-Virgin Mary, Patriarchal Exarch of South-East Asia, Metropolitan Sergiy of Singapore and South-East Asia celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Church of the Life-Giving Trinity in Ostankino.
His Eminence was co-served by the clergy of the church.
During the Liturgy, Metropolitan Sergiy ordained Hierodeacon Methodius (Sugiarto), a cleric of the Archpastor Metochion of St. Vladimir’s Church in Bekasi, the Republic of Indonesia, to the priesthood.
At the end of the service, Vladyka congratulated all those present on the feast of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos and addressed the faithful with an archpastoral word.

In all the churches and monasteries, prayers were lifted up for the Primate of the Church, elected at the Local Council of 2009 to the Moscow Patriarchal Throne.

On the eve of the Sunday, Metropolitan Sergiy served an All-night vigil.

The day before, the archpastor celebrated a festive All-Night Vigil.
