Patriarchal Exarch for South-East Asia Attended Victory Day Reception Organized by Russian Embassy in Singapore
On May 8, 2024, a solemn reception dedicated to the 79th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 was held at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Singapore.
The event was attended by: employees of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Singapore, representatives of state authorities, members of diplomatic missions, heads of public organizations and compatriots. Among the invited guests, the reception was attended by the Patriarchal Exarch for South-East Asia, Metropolitan Sergiy of Singapore and South-East Asia, and Bishop Pitirim of Jakarta, vicar of the Diocese of Singapore.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Singapore, N.R. Kudashev addressed the participants of the event with a welcoming speech.
The memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War was honoured with a minute of silence.
A musical performance was prepared for the guests of the event and an exhibition of archival documents and photographs dedicated to the heroes of the war was organized.
