On 10th Sunday after Pentecost, Feast of Don Icon of Mother of God, Patriarchal Exarch of South-East Asia Celebrated Divine Liturgy at St. George Church in Phnom Penh, Cambodia
On September 1, 2024, the 10th Sunday after Pentecost, the feast day of the Don Icon of the Mother of God, the Patriarchal Exarch of South-East Asia, Metropolitan Sergiy of Singapore and South-East Asia, Temporary Administrator of the Diocese of Thailand, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Church of the Great Martyr George the Victorious in Phnom Penh, Kingdom of Cambodia.
Concelebrating with His Eminence were: Bishop Pitirim of Jakarta, Vicar of the Diocese of Singapore; Archimandrite Oleg (Cherepanin), Secretary of the Diocese of Thailand; Hieromonk Paisiy (Ipate), Dean of the Cambodian District; and Priest Roman Postnikov, Rector of St. George Church in Phnom Penh.
After the Divine Liturgy, a moleben for the beginning of the school year was performed, and at the end, Metropolitan Sergiy delivered a sermon and gave his blessing to the worshippers, as he also instructed the teachers and students that participated in the service.
Then, the archpastor, the concelebrating clergy, and parishioners continued their communication over the joint trapeza.
