On St. Dimitriy Parental Saturday, Patriarchal Exarch for Southeast Asia Served Divine Liturgy and Panikhida at Bishop’s Metochion of St. Vladimir’s Church in Bekasi, Indonesia
On November 2, 2024, St. Dimitriy Parental (Memorial) Saturday, Patriarchal Exarch for Southeast Asia, Metropolitan Sergiy of Singapore and Southeast Asia, celebrated Divine Liturgy and panikhida at the Bishop’s Metochion of St. Vladimir’s Church in Bekasi, Republic of Indonesia. The day before, Metropolitan Sergiy served Matins with Parastas.
His Eminence was co-served by the clergy of the Church of the Apostle Thomas in Jakarta and the clergy of the branch in Bekasi.
Upon the end of the Divine Liturgy, panikhida was served for all the Orthodox Christians who have departed from time immemorial.
At the end of the service, Metropolitan Sergiy thanked all those who came to pray in the church on that day and addressed them with a sermon. Then he gave the faithful his archpastoral blessing.
