Patriarchal Exarch of Southeast Asia Took Part in a Visiting Meeting of “Russia – Islamic World” Strategic Vision Group in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

On December 11, 2024, in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, a visiting meeting of the Group of Strategic Vision “Russia – Islamic World” was held under the chairmanship of Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov.

The theme of this year’s meeting is “Interaction between Russia and the Islamic World in the Era of Emerging Multipolarity.” During the discussion, the most currently relevant topics were considered, and the main areas of cooperation in the political, economic, and financial fields, including the humanitarian and cultural spheres, were outlined. Based on the results of the meeting, the participants of the “Russia – Islamic World” Strategic Vision Group outlined the main tasks for the coming year. The plenary session was attended by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim.

Taking part in the plenary session were: Metropolitan Kirill of Kazan and Tatarstan; Patriarchal Exarch for Southeast Asia, Metropolitan Sergiy of Singapore and Southeast Asia; Mufti of Tatarstan, Kamil hazrat Samigullin; head of the publishing house “Huzur” of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rishat hazrat Hamidullin. In addition, the event was attended by leaders of Muslim communities from the BRICS countries and the Asia-Pacific region, as well as experts in the field.
