Hierarchs of Patriarchal Exarchate of Southeast Asia Participated in Divine Liturgy at Kazan Cathedral in St. Petersburg on 70th Birthday of Metropolitan Barsanuphiy of St. Petersburg and Ladoga

On June 3, 2025, the day of the celebration of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God, the Patriarchal Exarch of Southeast Asia, Metropolitan Sergiy of Singapore and Southeast Asia, and Metropolitan Pavel of Manila and Hanoi concelebrated the Divine Liturgy with Metropolitan Barsanuphiy of St. Petersburg and Ladoga at the Kazan Cathedral in St. Petersburg. The Divine service was dedicated to the 70th birthday of Metropolitan Barsanuphiy.

His Eminence was also co-served by the metropolitans Amvrosy of Tver and Kashin and Zinovy of Saransk and Mordovia; by the bishops Lazar of Narva and Prichudye, Kliment of Krasnoslobodsk and Temnikov, Veniamin of Kronstadt, Barnaba of Vyborg and Priozersk, Mitrofan of Gatchina and Luzhsk, Silouan of Pavlovo-Posad, Vikentiy of Tarsk and Tyukalinsk, Seraphim of Istra, and Silouan of Peterhof; by Archpriest Sergey Kuksevich, Secretary of the Diocesan Administration; as well as by clergy of the metropolis and of the cathedral.

Liturgical hymns were performed by the cathedral choir under the direction of Svetlana Rumiantseva, by the mixed choir of the St. Petersburg Theological Academy under the direction of Raisa Gundyaeva, and the combined choir of the children’s Sunday school and the youth of the Kazan Cathedral under the direction of Maria Krasnotsvetova.

Among the worshippers were the Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov, Governor of the Leningrad Region Alexander Drozdenko, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the region Alexander Belsky, State Duma Deputy Viacheslav Makarov, Vice-Governor Konstantin Zvonic, head of the city department for relations with religious organizations Vladimir Ivanov, and chief physician of Children’s Hospital No. 2 Avtandil Mikava.

Bishop Silouan of Pavlovo-Posad read a congratulatory address from His Holiness Patriarch Kirill, stating that the jubilarian is awarded the Order of Metropolitan Alexiy of Kiev, Moscow, and All Rus’, of First Class.

On 1 February 2026, the Russian Orthodox Church prayerfully marks the 17th anniversary of the enthronement of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’. In all churches and monasteries, prayers are offered for the Primate of the Church, who was elected to the Patriarchal Throne of Moscow at the Local Council of 2009.


On the 31st Sunday after Pentecost, Patriarchal Exarch of Southeast Asia Concelebrated Liturgy with Metropolitan Pavel of Manila and Hanoi at Resurrection Cathedral in Khanty-Mansiysk

On January 11, 2026, the 31st Sunday after Pentecost, after the Nativity of Christ, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the Resurrection Cathedral in the city of Khanty-Mansiysk. The service was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Metropolitan Pavel of Manila and Hanoi. On the eve of the feast, the Patriarchal Exarch co-served Vladyka Pavel at the All-Night Vigil.

On February 1, 2025, the Russian Orthodox Church prayerfully celebrated the 16th anniversary of the enthronement of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia. In all the churches and monasteries, prayers were lifted up for the Primate of the Church, elected at the Local Council of 2009 to the Moscow Patriarchal Throne.
