Hierarchs of Patriarchal Exarchate of Southeast Asia Celebrated a Conciliar Divine Service in Tagaytay, Republic of the Philippines

On November 21, 2025, the Feast of the Synaxis of the Archangel Michael and the Other Bodiless Heavenly Powers, a conciliar Divine service of the hierarchs of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Southeast Asia was celebrated at the Church of the Nativity of Christ in Tagaytay, Republic of the Philippines.

The Divine Liturgy was presided over by Metropolitan Sergiy of Singapore and Southeast Asia, Patriarchal Exarch of Southeast Asia.

Concelebrating with His Eminence were: Metropolitan Pavel of Manila and Hanoi, head of the Philippine–Vietnamese Diocese; Archbishop Theophan of Korea, head of the Korean Diocese; Bishop Pitirim of Jakarta, vicar of the Singapore Diocese; Hieromonk Juvenaly (Marushchak), secretary of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Southeast Asia; Hieromonk Corneliy (Molev), secretary of the Philippine–Vietnamese Diocese; the rector of the church, Priest David Grubbs; and clergy of the Manila deanery.

During the Liturgy, Metropolitan Pavel ordained Deacon Dimitry Kachilig—cleric of the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos in Arakan—to the priesthood.

Upon the end of the service, Metropolitan Pavel, head of the Philippine–Vietnamese Diocese, addressed the Patriarchal Exarch and the gathered faithful with a welcoming message.

In his reply, Metropolitan Sergiy expressed sincere gratitude to all the participants in the service for their contribution to the common work of spiritual caring for the faithful and strengthening Orthodox traditions in the region.

Clergy and laity were awarded diocesan honours.

On 1 February 2026, the Russian Orthodox Church prayerfully marks the 17th anniversary of the enthronement of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’. In all churches and monasteries, prayers are offered for the Primate of the Church, who was elected to the Patriarchal Throne of Moscow at the Local Council of 2009.


On the 31st Sunday after Pentecost, Patriarchal Exarch of Southeast Asia Concelebrated Liturgy with Metropolitan Pavel of Manila and Hanoi at Resurrection Cathedral in Khanty-Mansiysk

On January 11, 2026, the 31st Sunday after Pentecost, after the Nativity of Christ, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the Resurrection Cathedral in the city of Khanty-Mansiysk. The service was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Metropolitan Pavel of Manila and Hanoi. On the eve of the feast, the Patriarchal Exarch co-served Vladyka Pavel at the All-Night Vigil.

On November 26, the Diocesan Assembly of the Clergy of the Diocese of the Philippines and Vietnam was held at the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos in the Municipality of Arakan, Cotabato Province, Philippines, under the chairmanship of Metropolitan Pavel of Manila and Hanoi, Administrator of the Diocese.
