Diocesan Assembly of Clergy of Diocese of Philippines and Vietnam was held

On November 26, the Diocesan Assembly of the Clergy of the Diocese of the Philippines and Vietnam was held at the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos in the Municipality of Arakan, Cotabato Province, Philippines, under the chairmanship of Metropolitan Pavel of Manila and Hanoi, Administrator of the Diocese.

During the assembly, reports were presented by the diocesan deaneries and the heads of the education, youth, information, and missionary departments, and plans for diocesan events and construction work for 2026 were approved.

Metropolitan Pavel delivered a report summarizing the diocese’s work for 2025.

On 1 February 2026, the Russian Orthodox Church prayerfully marks the 17th anniversary of the enthronement of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’. In all churches and monasteries, prayers are offered for the Primate of the Church, who was elected to the Patriarchal Throne of Moscow at the Local Council of 2009.

On January 11, 2026, the 31st Sunday after Pentecost, after the Nativity of Christ, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the Resurrection Cathedral in the city of Khanty-Mansiysk. The service was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Metropolitan Pavel of Manila and Hanoi. On the eve of the feast, the Patriarchal Exarch co-served Vladyka Pavel at the All-Night Vigil.

On November 23, 2025, the 24th Sunday after Pentecost, on Panglao Island in the Philippines, the Patriarchal Exarch of Southeast Asia, Metropolitan Sergiy of Singapore and Southeast Asia, performed the great consecration of the church dedicated to the Icon of the Mother of God “Quick to Hear” and presided over the first Divine Liturgy in the newly consecrated church.
