On 17 February 2026, the day of the veneration of the icon of the Most Holy Theotokos “Triumph of the Most Holy Theotokos” (of Port Arthur), the Patriarchal Exarch of Southeast Asia, Metropolitan Sergiy of Singapore and Southeast Asia, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Dormition Church in Singapore.
His Eminence was concelebrated by Bishop Pitirim of Jakarta, vicar of the Diocese of Singapore, and the clergy of the parish.
Upon the end of the Liturgy, warm congratulations were offered. The parishioners together with the clergy warmly congratulated Bishop Pitirim on his birthday. Another joyful occasion was the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Metropolitan Sergiy’s presbyteral ordination, a significant milestone that the Archpastor marks today.
Continuing the festive events and following the traditions of Maslenitsa (Cheesefare) week, a friendly tea gathering was held on the church grounds. Those present enjoyed bliny (pancakes) and fellowship in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
