Lectures on Orthodoxy for youth are held at the Church of the Apostle Thomas in Jakarta
Every year, starting from 2018, lectures on the history of the Ancient Church for young people are held at the Church of the Apostle Thomas in Jakarta. The talks are attended by the youth section of the Indonesian Christian Church (GKI) community.
During the pandemic from 2020-2021, classes were not held. Meetings with the priest resumed in January 2023. And last Sunday, February 5, already a second group of Protestant youth visited the Orthodox church.
The young people attended the Divine Liturgy, and after a joint trapeza with the parishioners of the Church of the Apostle Thomas, they listened to a lecture from the rector of the temple, Priest Boris Setiavan. Father Boris spoke in more detail about the rite of the Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom and Orthodox traditions.
