Prayer on island of Tubabao
Hieromonk Cornelius (Molev), Secretary of the Philippine-Vietnamese Diocese, and Priest Moses Kahilig performed a memorial service at the Giuan cemetery, where Russian refugees who fled from China in 1949 from communist persecution are buried.
At the place of the stay of the refugees on Tubabao island, a moleben with the akathist to St. John of Shanghai – the Heavenly Patron of the Orthodox communities in the Philippines was served.

On 1 February 2026, the Russian Orthodox Church prayerfully marks the 17th anniversary of the enthronement of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’. In all churches and monasteries, prayers are offered for the Primate of the Church, who was elected to the Patriarchal Throne of Moscow at the Local Council of 2009.
