Metropolitan Sergiy performed the rite of consecration of comprehensive school at Russian Embassy in Thailand
On April 24, Patriarchal Exarch of South-East Asia, Metropolitan Sergiy of Singapore and South-East Asia, temporary administrator of the Diocese of Thailand, performed the rite of consecration of a comprehensive school located in Bangkok at the Russian Embassy in the Kingdom of Thailand.
Before the consecration, Metropolitan Sergiy addressed the gathered school students and teachers.
Archimandrite Oleg (Cherepanin), Secretary of the Diocese of Thailand, and clerics of the diocese prayed at the divine service. After the rite of consecration, Metropolitan Sergiy presented the school with an icon of the Saviour and also presented small icons to the students.
On the same day, the Patriarchal Exarch met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Thailand, Evgeny Tomikhin.
