Patriarchal Exarch of South-East Asia First Time Visited Timor, Indonesia, where he Met with Orthodox Christians Living on the Island

On April 3, 2024, the Patriarchal Exarch for South-East Asia, Metropolitan Sergiy of Singapore and South-East Asia, visited the city of Kupang on the island of Timor for the first time, where he met with Orthodox Christians living in this area.

The province of East Nusa Tenggara, where the city of Kupang is located, is the southernmost province of Indonesia in the Lesser Sunda Islands archipelago.

The archpastor was accompanied by Hieromonk Seraphim (Punuf), a cleric of the Archpastor’s Metochion of St. Vladimir’s Church in Bekasi; Deacon Damian Darmavan, a cleric of the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle in Jakarta; and Reader Sergiy Geraldio.
