Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill blessed the reading of a special prayer for the restoration of peace

This prayer should be offered in all dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church after the Special Litany at the Divine Liturgy.

PRAYER FOR THE RESTORATION OF THE WORLD

Vladyka Many-merciful Lord, Jesus Christ, our God, through the prayers of Our All-Pure Lady Theotokos and Ever-Virgin Mary, the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Grand Duke Vladimir and Grand Duchess Olga, the Holy New Martyrs and Confessors of our Church, our venerable and God-bearing Fathers Anthony and Theodosius, Kiev- Caves wonderworkers, Sergius, hegumen of Radonezh, Job of Pochaevsky, Seraphim of Sarov and all the saints, make our prayer auspicious for the Church and for all your people.

From a single font of Baptism, hedgehog under the holy Prince Vladimir, we, Your children, have received grace, – establish the spirit of brotherly love and peace in our hearts forever!

In a foreign language, scold those who want and take up arms against Holy Russia – forbid and overthrow their plans.

Instruct those in power by Thy grace for every good, affirm the soldiers in Thy commandments, bring the deprived of shelter into houses, feed the hungry, strengthen and heal those who are ill and suffering, give good hope and comfort to those who are in confusion and sorrow, in the battle of the slain – forgiveness of sins and create blessed repose.

Fill us even in Thee with faith, hope and love, as if in all our countries with one mouth and one heart we confess to You, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, with Your Father without Beginning, Your Most Holy Good and Life-giving Spirit forever and ever. Amen.
